May 7, 2009 was a very bland & bleak looking day. Though the wheather was terrible & cold this morning,spirits of many people were high. We started out at Berri Park & made our way through the rain covered streets of Montreal in hopes that the protest would get better social welfare benifets & will be heard, seen, & sucessful. I believe we were heard & seen, I'm not so sure if we were sucessful. In the midst of the protest some people were arrested. All these people are guilty of is trying to make life a little easier financially so that we can pay our rent & and bills & still have money to eat.... In my opinion I feel that the police are too uptight & have forgotten what it's like to help others without a alternate motive..... But hey that's just my opinion, what do you think?!
