Christmas has become a money making endeavour. All the joy has been siphoned out of any fun that might have been. If there are no children in the picture it is a day like any other. But even with children involved often the expectation outweighs the reality. Because of advertising they expect too much. There is also the religious side. The Catholic Church turned a pagan event into the birth of Jesus. This was done to convert people to Catholicism. Better soft persuasion then death. And then we can’t forget the bombardment of x mas music. We almost wish for elevator musac instead.
